Have you ever run across a tractor that looks like this? Let me
tell you a little more about this tractor. The tractor was invented
and patented by Mr. S. A. Grant of Thompsonville, Connecticut in
1913. The tractor was powered by a 25 HP gas engine. The engine,
after being started, climbed the inside of this huge wheel causing
the wheel to rotate forward. This tractor was used to drag plows,
harrow and other farm implements. Mr. Grant felt that he had the
light tractor problems of 1913 solved. How would you have turned
this tractor in a small field? Let us know what you think?
