Harold Ottaway, Wichita, Kan., restored this Hart-Parr Little
Red Devil, built 1914 to 1916. The tractor was powered by a
two-cycle engine that ran at 600 RPM, and was rated at 15-22
HP.
This tractor was unusual in that it had no valves in the engine,
no transmission and no differential.
It took Harold about 13 years to locate parts and to make
missing parts. The picture of Harold and the tractor was taken at
Crosby, N.D., at the 11th annual Threshing Bee and Antique Show of
the Divide County Historical Society in July, 1980. It was also
pictured on the show button.
