Branch 49’s Southwest Regional, June 3-6, 1999, was held at
the sleepy little town of Angels Camp, California, home of Mark
Twain’s Jumping Frog Jubilee. Being a small branch, the
cooperation we had from other branches made it all happen. The
theme was California Gold, to help celebrate 150 years of the gold
discovery.

Something to look forward to is the Branch 49 1897 Railtown
Excursion. If you like trains and steam, don’t miss it August
28-29, 1999, at Jamestown, California.
