The photos on this month’s back cover were taken at
Portland, Indiana at the Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor
Association Show in August of 2000 by staffer Judy Whiteside. The
engine is a 9 HP Thermoil diesel, serial number 10844, 450 rpm.
This is the largest horsepower Thermoil engine made. Owners are
Paul Cox of Lebanon, Kentucky and Art Biagi, Jr., of Centralia,
Illinois.
