The 1 HP Sta-Rite pictured was restored by my Uncle Clarence
Johnson from the Gary/Twin Valley area of Minnesota. He was a
farmer most of his life, and during the winters he restored many
engines. Many of the engines he has since given to my brother Jerry
and to me. We can’t thank him enough for what he has done for a
couple of young engine collectors! A very special thanks, Uncle
Clarence!
About the engine, the unique round-faced flywheels and how
complete it is, we do have some questions. When was it made? And
how many collectors have similar engines? I will try to reply to
all who write.
