No, the photographer was not drunk, nor was the camera tilted
when the pictures of my Lauson were taken–the engine runs in this
position!
Note the carburetor and air cleaner in the vertical
position.
This Lauson is a type RSC-541 and specially made for the Jari
walk-behind sickle mower. This engine is well made with insert
bearings in the connecting rod, ball type main bearings, Zenith
carburetor, Wico flywheel magneto.
Rumor has it that Jari mowers with this engine are used on very
steep hillsides and operated by persons having one short leg. This
rumor has not been confirmed. Kidding of course.
