4 HP Borden & Selleck
Company:
Borden & Selleck Co., Chicago, IL
Horsepower: 4
Bore: 5-inch
Stroke: 6-inch
Flywheel diameter: 24 inches
Flywheel width: 2-1/2 inches
Ignition: High-tension
Additional info: The engine is of headless design, the crank gear is a worm gear and the cam gear is a cog-type gear. The engine is a one-piece casting with the main bearing towers narrower than the cylinder bore and is tank cooled. It has been suggested to me that this may be the only example of this engine. I welcome any information anyone has.
Owners: Gary and Dea Gruel, 30090 West Lower River Rd., Buckeye, AZ 85326; threegruels@msn.com
