This 1917 7 HP Fuller & Johnson Model N was the winter
1993-1994 restoration project for Bob Droste, W7678 Dunning Road,
Pardeeville, Wisconsin 53954. He displayed it last year at shows in
Plainfield, Beaver Dam, Baraboo, and Pickett, all in Wisconsin. He
says, ‘This winter [1994] I’ll be working on a 7 HP Economy
I just purchased. Hopefully it turns out as well as this one did,
and I’ll have another photo to submit.’

I purchased this 7 HP hit & miss Sta-Rite engine with 3
flywheels from Howard Ecdahl of Roseburg, Oregon, in 1993. It was
in good condition.

The family business of Red Harvest Cranberry Farm worked
together on stripping paint, building, finishing the base, and new
overall painting and prep to get it ready to go.

We built the new cart the engine is on after getting the
original wheels from an antique hay chopper. Then we set the
Sta-Rite on an aluminum base made especially for it, which
highlights the appearance of both the engine and the cart. One of
the unique features of this engine is the WICO type 01 mag.

After the Sta-Rite engine was all finished, we took it to
Brooks, Oregon, for the Antique Powerland Branch #15 annual show
July 30 and 31. It ran great!
