11 Library Place San Anselmo, Ca. 94960
Here’s my 3 HP Samson, which was raffled off at the ’93
EDGE&TA National meeting. I acquired it from Ken Holloman.
(Branch 13, retired) in Marysville, north of Sacramento. Ken had
already done a lot of work on it, like relieving the cylinder. The
exhaust pipe runs up through the water tank and produces a
wonderfully mellow chugging sound. A distinctive feature of the
Samson is the round leather belt that runs from the flywheel to the
fly ball governor. The Samson has a selector valve which allows
running on kerosene once the engine warms up.
