Here is a picture of what I have left of a Smith Motor Wheel,
Engine 14633.

It came off of a small buckboard car called the Smith Flyer. A
neighbor of mine bought it for his son. I believe it was about the
year of 1918 or 1919. I purchased the motor unit off of it about
the year of 1926. I stripped it of the drive wheel, fender and
other parts and belted it to a generator to charge batteries. The
parts I removed from it got away from me long ago. I now have the
engine mounted on a stand and lined up with my collection of other
engines.

Since I’ve been receiving the Gas Engine Magazine I’ve
never seen anything on the Smith Motor Wheel. Would like to hear
from anyone that has one.
