Orville L. Ebbert, 66 of 621 North 11th Street, Elwood, Indiana, died September 12, 1969, at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born March 17, 1903, near Fendleton, a son of Lewis and Martha Ebbert and was married in 1923 to Bernetha Linsday.
A retired employee of the Elwood Tool & Die Company, he was a member of the Church of God, Eagles Lodge, Historical Club, Tri State Gas Engine Assoc. of Portland and Brother & Sisterhood.
Survivors include the widow; six daughters, Mrs. Alice Johnson of Indianapolis, Mrs. Helen Wisehart of Wilkinson, Mrs. Mary Howe of Pendleton, Mrs. Anna Crockett, Mrs. Eva Erdman, and Miss Jane Ebbert all of Elwood; two sons Ralph Ebbert of Wilkinson and Dale Ebbert of Elwood; one brother, two sisters; 18 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 15, with burial in McCray Cemetery near Wilkinson.
