DICK JONES, of South Lyon, Michigan, died Tuesday, May 24. He was an avid John Deere man having had a few big D’s. He also loved the old engines and especially going to the Wauseon, Ohio show. He will be dearly remembered by all who knew him.

JOHN C. SNOOK, JR., 58, of Lafayette, New Jersey, passed away on September 28, 1982 unexpectedly. He was a highly respected dairy farmer of Sussex County as well as the state of New Jersey. He and I were both interested in antique machinery and engines and talked about a club in the area many times. We interested others and the first meeting of the North Jersey Antique Engine and Machinery Club was in November, 1979. He is greatly missed by all.

RAY WILLIAM SHEETS, Ypsilanti Township, Michigan, died June 25, 1983. He came to the area in 1942. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was co-owner of Sheets Collision in Ypsilanti and a member of Kaiser-Frazer Owners Club, Model A Club, Friends of Greenfield Village, Ypsilanti Historical Society and Huron Valley Gun Club.
He will be sadly missed by those who knew him.

CURTIS DEAN JOHNSON, founder, owner and chief auctioneer of the Curt D. Johnson Auction Co. of Lakota, North Dakota died Tuesday, June 21, 1983 at Grand Forks, North Dakota of an apparent heart attack. He had just listed another sale and was preparing to travel to Mason City, Iowa where he was scheduled to give a class. He was 39 years old.
Curt was a member of the Lakota Lutheran Church, a member of both the North Dakota and Minnesota Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association. He was also known for the many charity auctions that he held.
Johnson’s wife, Tracy, who survives him will continue to run the auction firm.
