RALPH R. RHODES of Route 1, Bridgewater, Virginia, died July 25, 1980. He was a dedicated husband and father, active in church and civic affairs, and founder of the Bridge-water Volunteer Fire Company’s Steam and Gas Meet. The Steam and Gas Meet grew and prospered under his capable guidance for eleven years. Ralph did not know a stranger, nor did he have an enemy. His wisdom, leadership and uncontrollable wit will be missed by all.
