WILBUR RAY, 68, of Route 2, Monmouth, Illinois died suddenly June 29, 1977. He will be greatly missed by his many good friends from Midwest Old Threshers of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and other such groups like Neil McClures and Dick Herms. He ran Neil’s Baker engine at Old Threshers, had fired and run the old cabbage stack engine on the Midwest Central Railroad, and helped oil, wipe and tend the stationary engines in the Heritage Museum at Reunion time. He was a livestock and grain farmer and a member of Fairview Center Church, Brotherhood Group, Homebuilders Sunday School Class and of the Monmouth Flying Club.

KERMIT HOLCOMB, 70, Route 1, died recently at Plum City, Wisconsin. He was a farmer and a farm machinery repairman. He had lived at Pleasant Valley for over 60 years. He was a charter member of the Chippewa Valley Antique Club.

WILLIAM HIMSTEDT, Donnellson, Illinois, died on July 2, 1977. He was a charter member of the Bond County Antique Machinery Club. He had been a farmer, but in the last ten years had operated a blacksmith show. He was always ready to give a helping hand to our club and will be missed by his many friends in the club and community.

JUTTIE S. JEWETT, 41, died July 21, while enroute with the Vermont National Guard to Ft. Drum, Watertown, New York. He was a foreman at Pratt-Read Corp. in Morrisville. He had been a member of the Vermont National Guard since 1957. He was also a member and officer of the Vermont Steam and Gas Engine Club. He was an active musician and for many years had played in area appearances. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
