Just a few reminders this issue. First, we’re going to try
to have more color pictures in our 1999 Steam and Gas Engine Show
Directory, as it will be our 25th edition and we’d like it to
be a real keepsake for collectors. If you have good color pictures
of your show that you’d like to see in next year’s
directory, you can go ahead and send them to us any time, just mark
them to the attention of Judy Whiteside, and indicate that
they’re for the 1999 Directory.
Our ‘warehouse sale’ is still on at present, and will be
ending on September 15. Again, this is a good time to buy back
issues at bargain prices, but this is NOT a subscription sale t
applies only to issues printed in 1997 or before!
We’re currently working on a new version of our popular Farm
Museum Directory this will be our fifth edition of the book, which
we publish in cooperation with ALHFAM, the Association for Living,
Historical Farms and Agricultural Museums. By next month,
you’ll likely see an ad somewhere in the magazine for this new
publication.
And while you’re out on the road exhibiting your engines and
examining others’, don’t forget to jot down a story of your
adventures and send it to us!
