At least once a year, it seems, we make a major mistake in
putting GEM together. This time, the gaffe is the cover story on
the 1945 Cletrac on the April issue. We forgot to include that
story last month, and so you will find it in this issue on page 15.
Sorry about that!
This issue has a feature you’ll want to know about: on the
inside back cover you’ll find changes to listings in our 1994
Directory. None of these were misprints, they’re all changes
from original information submitted to us. We’ll continue to
carry such changes on the inside back cover as the show season
progresses.
We’re encouraged to see we have several stories about young
people involved in the engine hobby, and we also have a crossword
puzzle assembled by one of our readers.
Once again, we have to ask for your patience in the sometimes
late delivery of your magazines. Our April issue was mailed much
closer to our usual date than March. We hope that the major snows
are over and you’ll experience no more serious delays.
I’ve been getting a fair amount of response to my March
column, and you’ll be hearing more about what your fellow
readers have to say about GEM. We appreciate the various opinions
(which represent different viewpoints) and the very positive way in
which most of you state your ideas.
Since this is the May issue, when you receive it, Spring swap
meets and auctions will be the order of the day a welcome relief
after our great snowy winter!
