PUBLISHER’S LETTER-

By Staff
Published on January 1, 2000

We came across this plea in a December 1941 issue of
American Power Farmer.

‘If you want to help your magazine, you young fellows are
going to have to wade in and talk tractors if for no other reason
than to start an argument.

‘It’s none of our business what class of farm machinery
you want to talk about- this is your magazine and you can talk
about what you please-but we do want more experience letters
telling of some interesting experience, and don’t fail to send
snap shots along with them. That is what you say you want
published, so roll them in-we can’t publish what we don’t
get. Give us the dope and we will do the rest.’

I just want to remind everyone that we want to publish your
stories, and your fellow subscribers want to read them, so
don’t always leave the role of author to others-YOUR story is
interesting, too, so send it in!

It’s time again for me to remind you that the deadline has
come and gone for our popular annual Steam and Gas Engine Show
Directory. If YOU are the one responsible for getting the
‘data’ in for your club, please let us know right away if
it hasn’t been sent.

One more item I need to share again is that, while we publish
our mailing dates as the seventh of every month, there is often
some variation from that. Our November issue didn’t mail until
the 12th of October; our December issue went out on the 3rd of
November. Sometimes you’ll get the magazine earlier than you
expect, other times, unfortunately, later, so do be patient.

And a very Happy New Year, and may your new century’s
resolutions be ones you can keep!
