With our January issue, we begin Volume 28 of Gas Engine
Magazine. As we start the new year, we will be working feverishly
on our 1993 Steam and Gas Engine Show Directory due out in March.
It’s not too early to order your copy of the Directory, which
still sells for just $5.00 postpaid. However, if you were one of
the show organizers who received our request for information and
you haven’t returned it yet, you’d better hurry! The
deadline is December 15, and we do have a FAX machine hooked up at
(717) 392-1341 if you still need to get information to us.
In this issue you’ll read more details of our planned
excursion to England planned for June 18 to July 3. The itinerary
has been planned by Wade Farm Tours, who will be managing this
project and we certainly hope that we’ll have sufficient
interest that the tour will proceed. If you want to receive the
brochure and forms for booking the tour, drop us a line (England
Tour, Stemgas Publishing Co., P.O. Box 328, Lancaster, PA 17603),
and we’ll see that you get the necessary information. See the
Reflections column and full tour description on page 18 for more
current details.
As we go to press with this issue, we are still working on our
2nd edition of Dave Baas’ Vintage Garden Tractors, which we
hope to advertise in the February issue.
Election fever of 1992 is now behind us and we hope for an
improved economy in 1993, that will bring greater attendance and
participation in all the engine shows and reunions coming ahead!
And as we look back on 1992, we thank all of our wonderful readers,
advertisers and other customers for their continued support.
