New Idea info request

I bought a New Idea engine and I would like some information. The brass tag reads the following:

“Mfd. by New Idea, Inc. Coldwater, Ohio; Built at Sandwich, Ill. Plant, Type No. 2 H.P. 1-1/2 to 2-1/2; 550-750 RPM; Serial No. AH 2440”

Can someone tell me what year this engine was built, what the proper paint colors are and where I can get a copy of the owner’s manual?
