In memorium: Bud Motry
Bud Motry passed away April 2008. He repaired and sold magnetos, and was an important part of engine shows in Michigan, Alabama and elsewhere. He worked at Baldwin County Historical Museum in Elberta, Ala., when he vacationed there.
In addition to writing the book Guide to Antique Engine Repair, Bud wrote many articles for Gas Engine Magazine over the years. He was also an instructor at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich.
Word of his passing was sent to GEM by his wife, Marion Motry.
Editor’s note: To commemorate Bud’s contribution to Gas Engine Magazine and the hobby as a whole, we’ve made a special page on our website that features links to all of the articles Bud submitted over the years.
