IN MEMORIAM

GEORGE L. McCOLLUM of La Moille, Illinois died April 14, 1986
after a short illness, at age 75.

Most of his life, he resided in the La Moille area; he worked
for seven years at Hart-Carter in Mendota and as a self-employed
carpenter.

He was one of the founding members of the Bureau Valley Antique
Club. John Deere was his line he had a J.D. GP, cultivator and
planter.

George restored tractors and helped Neil Drummer with his 1921
Port Huron steam engine at the Bureau Valley show and once at the
Sycamore show.

Over the past four years he made wooden models of steam engines
in great detail.

Survivors include his wife Edith, a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Hazel
Mae) Rapp and son George L. of La Moille.

The Bureau Valley Antique Club has also lost two other members
this year, DICK THOMPSON and IVAN KRIEGER. Our departed members
will be missed for their many contributions and long remembered by
their many friends.
