DANIEL F. SULLIVAN, of Norwood, Massachusetts, passed away on
July 14, 1999, at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife, Joyce,
and children Danny, Jerry, Katherine and Barbara, plus five
grandchildren.

Dan was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a charter member of our ‘Cranberry Flywheelers’
Club. Our club has lost a fine addition, and he leaves a void that
cannot be filled. Dan was one of a kind, always ready to lend a
hand to anyone in need.

He was a hard worker and started a landscape business with a
short-handled shovel, a rake, and a wheelbarrow. The business has
grown and is now operated by his son Danny, assisted by another
son, Jerry.

Things I remember about Dan are his good nature–he was often
the last one to leave the field at the end of the shows. Then he
would put up a front on Mondays so his wife Joyce wouldn’t see
how tired he was after a weekend show. And also I remember the many
breakfasts we had together and the good natured bickering over
whose turn it was to pick up the check.

Dan will be sadly missed by his family, our club members and his
many friends.

Submitted by Bob Milbery, Plympton, Massachusetts, and our club
president, Ernie Darrow, Taunton, Massachusetts.
