GUY F. RIMMERT, 62 of 2218 George Street, La Crosse, Wisconsin
passed away on December 14, 1984. Guy was a faithful member of the
Coulee Antique Engine Club and together with his wife, Grace,
attended many other engine shows. He especially liked to display
his beautifully restored outboard marine motors with lots of shiny
brass. Guy was employed by the city of La Crosse for 30 years prior
to his retirement. He will be missed by his family, friends and
everyone who knew him.

RONALD J. RUSSELL of Bovina Center, New York passed away January
23, 1985 at the age of 45.

Although Ron was without sight for the last 18 years of his
life, he maintained his interest in and continued to work on his
gas engine collection.

He was a member of the Pioneer Gas Engine Association and the
Capitol District Early Engine Club. A long time subscriber to Gas
Engine Magazine, Ron corresponded by tape with many friends from
across the country. Before his final illness, he was employed by
the Garden Way Manufacturing Company in Troy, New York.

His love of antiques and things mechanical as well as his
indominan-table spirit sustained his life and was an inspiration to
many.

JOHN H. BARNES of Dayton, Ohio, was born in 1928. He suffered a
heart attack and passed away January 3,1985.

He was past president of the Dayton Area Antique Engine and
Equipment Association. John will be remembered for the meticulous
manner in which he restored his tractors and engines and then
displayed them at various shows in Ohio and Indiana.

His work for General Motors at the Delco plant provided him with
the knowledge and skills he used in restoring his many engines.

John was very liked by all who knew him. He will be missed by
his family and friends.

RAY B. NOEL of Haoton, Michigan age 62 passed away on January
30, 1985. Mr. Noel had been in the hosiptal due to a leg amputation
and stroke before hand. He had been retired for about 6 months time
form ‘Upjohn Company’ in Michigan, but due to his illness
had been in and out of hosipital. Ray was one of the original
founders of the ‘St. Joe Valley Old Engine Association’ in
the late 50’s. Ray collected various tractors and gas engines
over the years and owned a rare ‘4 Pull Fitch’ tractor.
This was featured in the Gas Engine Magazine. Through this article
he met many people that were else interested in this hobby. Ray was
always willing to give a hand where he could. He will be missed
dearly by all and his ‘cheerful smile’ will not be
forgotten.

MAX ALBRECHT, 65, of Paris Illinois. Retired Plant Engineer of
Lenith Radio Corp. at Paris Illinois, passed away in February of
1985, following a brief illness. Though not a collector, he was a
familiar sight at Pinkneyville, Arcola, and Pontiac Shows. He was
always ready to discuss or help anyone with anything of a
mechanical or electrical problem. He was a subscriber to GEM and
many other like publications. He will be missed by his many
friends, especially me.

JOHN P. HARMON, a charter member of Wisconsin Branch Two GE
& TA Assoc. passed away in February of 1985 in Tuson Arizona at
the age of 79.

One of the original members of the club, he was elected the
Board of Directors in 1959. His 12-25 Avery was one of the high
lights of our first show in August 1959 at the Adolph Nettesheim
farm in Sussex.
