ARTHUR BICKEL of Virden, Illinois passed away on December 17,
1985. He was a member and active participant of the Midwest Old
Settlers and Threshers Association of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and of
the Prairie Land Heritage Museum of South Jacksonville, Illinois.
He had entertained many years with various musicians playing his
‘Rhythm Stick’ at steam shows throughout Illinois, Iowa and
Missouri. He received an Old Thresherman award from Midwest Old
Threshers at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa in 1985.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Esther Bickel of Virden,
Illinois, a daughter, four grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.

ART MAUSEHUND of Peotene, Illinois passed away on the 15th of
November, 1985.
Art was a farmer and along with his wife, Juanita, showed their
restored gas engines at various shows in the Midwest. They attended
numerous shows all summer long when they weren’t farming.
Art was a member of Thee Olde Time Farm Show at Kankakee,
Illinois and was on the Board of Directors of the club. He was a
very congenial person and will be sadly missed by everyone who ever
met him.

It is with deep regret that we report the sudden passing of a
good friend and fellow collector, LAMBERT VAN DER EYKE, 64 of
Ortonville, Minnesota. He was a well liked man who was always
willing to help. We will never forget him and will always treasure
his memory.
