Louis H. Rembis, 91, Mt. Orab, Ohio, passed
away at his residence on April 1, 2002.
A longtime farmer and mechanic, Louis was a civilian test
mechanic at Wright Field, Dayton, Ohio, during WW II. He was a
lifetime member of the Ohio Valley Antique Machinery Club and also
belonged to the Highland County Antique Machinery Association and
the Antique Power Club of Clinton County.
Louis and his son, Mark, began showing engines in 1970. He
exhibited his rare 6 HP International Titan sideshaft engine at
many shows in the Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky area.
He is survived by Vivien, his wife of 52 years; sons Mark and
Gary of Mt. Orab; a sister, Dorothe Rueppel of Washington C.H.,
Ohio; five grand children; and six great-grand children.
