Hello gas engine enthusiasts! A note from Flywheel Forum, April
2005, 40/4/2: Unidentified Engine. I received many phone calls and
letters from people helping me to identify this engine and wish to
thank them for their efforts. This is a Canadian-made engine named
National, from Montamagny, Quebec, Canada. Gas Engine
Magazine did an article on this engine, “National Motors, Gas
and Gasoline,” pages 20-23, in the June 1994 issue. This engine has
a lot of similarities to a Stover.
I’m looking forward to restoring this engine and appreciate the
help I received.
