Regarding your article on “Original or Restored” in the April
issue of Gas Engine Magazine, I have enclosed a photo of
my latest restoration, a 1915 1-1/2 HP Stover-Judson. It was in
pretty sad shape when I got it. I went through it mechanically,
replacing several bushings and installing new rings. For the final
touch – just a fresh paint job with a new decal were good enough.
I’m not into all the gold leaf and fancy detail. A neat, clean
engine in good working order is my preference. Steve Wickham, 2561
