On Oct. 15, 2006, Ron Bracken of Vestaburg, Mich., passed away
at age 74. He was an accomplished machinist, mechanic and enjoyed
building model engines from scratch. He also had a love for Model T
Fords. Ron’s career included a stint at GarWood and 25 years at the
Ford Motor Co. in Detroit. He served in the Army from 1952-1954 and
was stationed at Fort Knox. He attended many shows in Michigan and
was famous for his animated washer woman, which gave many people a
chuckle. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 50 years and three
sons, Rick, Jeff and Kevin. He was a great friend and will be
missed by all.
