As to being charged to exhibit at shows – Gas Engine
Magazine, March 2005 – Klein does not say if he is a member of
the club that charges to exhibit. From the tone of his letter, he
is probably not a member. I have no problem with non-members being
charged to exhibit at shows. Somebody has to help pay for
insurance, utilities, rent, taxes and who knows what else.
Club insurance may require that only members exhibit and that
fee being charged may be an annual due for the year. I am a member
of the three clubs where I exhibit and will remain so as long as I
go to their shows.
