In the past couple months we’ve had some very high winds in
our area. Wouldn’t you know, among some 100 threshing machines
at Oscar’s Dreamland there was a late model Case 28 x 47 in
like-new condition. She decided she was too new and took advantage
of the wind and flew out to Richard (Dick) Tombrick’s home near
Warden, Montana. Since Dick is president of the local steam and gas
club at Warden, she will show off this coming summer during their
annual show. We at Oscar’s Dreamland are happy for this one
wind!
By the way, in 1961 we had a friend come into our business in
Sheridan, Wyoming and ask if we could find him a new threshing
machine. Since we were Case dealers, we called J.I. Case in
Minneapolis, Minnesota and in a few days they called to say they
found one machine in stock, in one of their Canadian branches. So,
we assume we probably sold the last new Case thresher.
