The Spark Plug Collectors of America, an international
organization dedicated to the preservation of spark plug history
and the collecting and restoration of spark plugs, announces
meeting dates for its 20th anniversary year!!
The 20th anniversary National-International Convention will be
held in Portland, Indiana, at the Jay County Fairgrounds, August
23-26, 1995, in conjunction with the Tri-State Gas Engine and
Tractor Show. This year’s schedule of events includes the
president’s farewell dinner on the 23rd, club banquet on the
24th, club meeting and election of officers on the 25th. Also, the
club will be attempting to set a world record for the largest
number of spark plugs on display ever in one place; the old record
was 4315, and there are hopes to double that amount. A plug auction
will follow the meeting, and a plug swap and sale area will be set
up. Members from all over the world are expected to attend.
The Eastern Regional Meeting is scheduled for October 6 at the
AACA Swap Meet in Hershey, Pennsylvania. A benefit plug auction
will follow this meeting also.
All meetings are at 10:00 a.m. local time of the meet, and
everyone is welcome to attend. If you would like more information
