In the real estate business that tells it all when you want
people to come and see what you have to show. And that is exactly
what happened at the sixth Northwest Antique Power Association Show
held on September 11-12, 1999, in Columbia Falls, Montana.
This year we had spectators register for a door prize at the
entrance gate, so we could get an idea of where the people were
from. We came up with a total of twenty states and five Canadian
provinces represented by spectators.
It was a very good crowd both days with beautiful weather. All
the planned events went well-plowing, threshing with steam
tractors, slow tractor race and egg breaking contest. I must thank
Don Lake for having his ‘barrel train’ running both days,
giving rides to the ‘little people.’
Our exhibitors made for a great show. We had 65 tractors of all
makes and sizes-that was a sight to see. A total of 137 engines
that ranged from ? HP up to 35 HP were shown. If all the owners
could get their engines going I would bet that, at one time or
another, all 137 engines were up and running.
Our year 2000 show will be held on September 9-10 at our show
grounds in Columbia Falls, Montana. Contact me, John Edgerton, or
Norm Myers, 225 Pheasant Drive, Kalispell, Montana 59901 for
