From August 31 to September 2, 1991, a record  crowd of
50,000 people attended the Rock River Thresheree, this year’s
host of the ‘International Harvester Collectors’ club’s
national convention, known as the ‘Red Power Round-up.’ IH
exhibitors and vendors from many parts of the U.S. and from Canada
were present. An excellent assortment of IH engines, trucks, toys,
memorabilia, and a tractor line-up including almost every series
ever produced were displayed.

The IH club’s membership re-elected the three directions
whose terms had expired. They are Kelly Birkey of Illinois, Harry
King of Ohio, and Randy Sottong of Indiana. Future host shows were
approved, for 1992 at Marion, Ohio and for 1993 at Boonville,
Missouri. The IH club  has grown to well over a thousand
members since the July 1990 organizational meeting at Winamac,
Indiana.

Another effort for the IH club was the Farm Progress Show, at
Dalton City, Illinois, September 24, 25, and 26, where they had a
historical display of IH machinery common to that part of the
Midwest.

International Harvester Collectors club memberships are
available for $10.00 per year from: IH Collectors, RR 2, Box 286,
Winamac, Indiana 46996.
