Restoration started with the purchase of this F-M Z engine from
a very good friend of ours, some two years ago.
In the winter of 1999, I started cleaning up the engine and
completed the job in early spring of 2000.
The engine was in very good running condition and just needed
some paint and minor repairs. With the help and supervision of
David Thompson, his knowledge of engines, and the space in his
workshop, he helped me build a set of trucks and we restored the
engine.
I painted the engine a hunter green. We think it looks very good
and runs just as well. I enjoy the pictures in each issue of your
magazine and hope my pictures will also be enjoyed by your
readers.
