If your engine club is looking for a good Way to raise money, generate interest, and have fun, why not put on an Engine Raffle? That’s exactly what Branch #8 of the EDGE&TA did during their 1990 show season.
The engine, a 1927 6 HP McCormick Deering, was restored to like-new condition and shown at events throughout central and northern California. During the year this engine traveled over 1000 miles and the club sold over 2000 tickets.
Many thanks to club members who helped sell tickets; everyone at Branch #8 appreciates everyone who helped support us and bought tickets. In the photo is the proud winner and long time Branch #8 member, Mary Miksch, with her husband, Byron. Also pictured are Floyd Schmall and Jeffrey Johns, the Branch #8 members who restored, transported and sold tickets for the club’s engine.
