This 8 HP Cushman is my first attempt at restoring an engine. It
was a challenge, as I was a carpenter for forty years, recently
retired, and had time on my hands.
The engine was at Luckenback, Texas, when found. It had been
used for generation of electricity. I found it at Fredericksburg
and hauled it to Minnesota and began the work. After breaking it
loose and making some needed repairs, I mounted it on the truck I
made. After belting it to another engine and some coaxing, it ran
very well!
