Here are pictures of an engine I rebuilt and restored in the
winter of ’86-’87. It is a Briggs and Stratton 1926 model
FH, ? HP @1800 rpm. I have highlighted the unique features in
yellow paint. It has overhead valves, chain kick starter, cylinder
fins on an angle, oil pump that maintains a constant level of oil,
two flywheels with one cooling the cylinder and one cools the head,
and a brass carburetor.
