The Northern Indiana Historical Power Association’s 15th
annual show was held September 13-15, 1991 at Sunset Hill Farm
Park.

Sunset Hill Farm Park is a Porter County, Indiana park, still in
the early stages of development. Location is five miles north of
Valparaiso, Indiana; one mile west of IN-49, at US 6 & Meridian
Road. This was the third year that N.I.H.P.A. held their show at
the farm.

Bill Remus and his team of Belgians were among the teams of
draft horses that joined in the weekend of activities. Threshing
with steam, sorghum making and plowing were just a few of the farm
activities demonstrated during the show.

Percy Carter, left, parade marshal, and Carl
Park, parade chairman.

After a dry summer here in northwest Indiana, even the rain
couldn’t stop the weekend of entertainment. Local musicians
provided a relaxing evening for exhibitors and visitors.

Plans are underway for the Northern Indiana Historical Power
Association 1992 show to be held over the weekend of September 18,
19, 20. Tractors and other equipment of the John Deere Company will
be one of the features at the show.
