completed restoration of this 1925 3 1/2 HP Model S Economy hit and
miss gas engine, serial #335877, in 1996. It is belted to a Stover
Ideal #10 Duplex corn mill (circa late 1800s). The mill was
purchased at the John ‘Woodpecker’ Smith auction in New
Jersey in April 1997. Domans says, ‘I think these two old
pieces of iron make a great combination, and they seem to be real
crowd pleasers wherever we go and set up! I hope you will find them
interesting.’ He is president of the Mendham Antique Farmall
Tractor & Gas Engine Association.
