Gas engine collecting is one of those hobbies where dirt and grime can be your friend.

Case in point, Larry Galloway’s 1919 9 HP Galloway, which sports a stunning coat of original paint. “It ran a shaft indoors in New York,” says Larry, who isn’t aware of any family relation to company founder William Galloway. “It was greasy and grimy in there and that must have saved the paint.”

In addition to the original paint, Larry is pretty confident that the rest of the engine is original as well.
