Vice Pres. Rt. 2 Box 167A Republic, Missouri 65738
EDGE&TA would like to extend a hearty welcome to our newest
members Branch 46. This club covers the entire state of Colorado,
has 700-800 members, and is well established. At press time, I
don’t have any specifics, but will let you know in the next
issue.
We have many inquiries from clubs all over the country about
joining the National. Jack Versteeg, National President, has even
had a club from Japan interested in joining and meeting American
gas engine enthusiasts. If your club is interested in joining,
please contact any of the national officers: president Jack
Versteeg, 3510 Brooklake Rd. N.E., Brooks, OR 97303; secretary
Menno L. Kliewer, 43138 Road 52, Reedley, CA 93654; or me, Charley
Stark. We’ll get you going in the right direction.
Branch 16 and the Ozark Steam Engine Association held their 32nd
annual show in September. Over 350 gas engines and antique tractors
were on display. We were honored to have guests from southern
England, Tony and Myra Waddell, in attendance. They also attended a
few other September shows in the Midwest.
From reading your newsletters, many branches all over the
country have held their annual shows and all have seemed to be very
successful. Branch 17, in conjunction with the Pioneer Harvesters,
held their 37th annual Pioneer Harvest Fiesta. They had beautiful
weather, great attendance, and featured the Minneapolis Moline. It
was good to visit with past Vice-President Del Seuser and his wife,
Vi, while there.
