I recently restored this Monitor saw rig, type H.J., 8 HP, 350
RPM, Serial #24584, 1920 model. It is a hit and miss kerosene
burner. It was bought in Alfalfa, Oklahoma, about two years ago,
and was complete and free when purchased except for a rusted out
fuel tank and rotten seat. An excellent reproduction fuel tank was
made by Mike Green and the seat by a local cabinet maker. I would
like to correspond with anyone who might know how or if this engine
was pinstriped. Thanks.
