I cobbled up this simple wood toolbox to hold a few tools, an oiler, a grease rag and a fuel funnel.
The design is functional, but you should consider adapting it to your particular needs. I used 3/4-inch clear pine for mine. A 3/4-by-3/8-inch deep rabbet around the bottom helps keep the box square.
Be sure to attach the sides and ends with glue and install wood screws from the bottom, this keeps the box structurally tight. Finish nails will hold the ends to the sides well.
The handle is a piece of 1-inch diameter closet rod (wood dowel). I attached mine with 1/8-inch wood dowel pins, drilled through the top of the ends, through the rod.
The finish was oil stain. I added a nail-on chair slider to the bottom at each corner to avoid contact with the ground or floor.
