Daughter seeking answers for her father
My father, Frank Lappin, has two questions.
He’s looking for information on this fuel mixer (top three photos). What does it fit? Is it for propane?
And we’re looking for a manual for this Standard Engine separator. Does anyone know where I can find one?
Thanks for the help!

Bolens plow engine parts needed
I am looking for an armature magneto, points, and condenser for my Model WI engine. The numbers I have are as follows: Points assembly, 29667; armature magneto, 29671; condenser, 29861.
If you know where I can purchase these or any parts that will work, I would appreciate it. Any information will help, such as alternate numbers, etc.
This engine is on a Bolens plow that was my grandfather’s and I still use it.
Thank you,
John Counts, via email
Send helpful numbers or details to me and I’ll forward them on to John. — Editor
Follow-up: Bolens plow engine parts needed
The following is a reply to John Counts’ Flywheel Forum letter.
You have a Briggs & Stratton engine on Bolens equipment. You have the right numbers in B&S.
- Condenser 29861
- Points 29667
- Armature 29667
I was a B&S engine dealer for almost 50 years. I started in 1966. Now my youngest son and his sons are taking the lawn equipment shop on. They still have points and condensers in stock. It’s not often you need the armature or coil changed.
If these parts are still needed, I can send them to you. These older parts are more expensive than they used to be and not all B&S newer dealers would have them. If I can be of help to anyone, I’m more than glad to do this.
Sincerely,
Glen Fry

P.S. I am an old man of 93 years.
Thank you, Glen! It’s great to hear from a seasoned expert with so many years of experience and knowledge to share. I’m sure other collectors can benefit from your assistance with their vintage B&S parts needs. Readers, write to Glen and his sons for your hard-to-find replacement needs. — Editor
What’s it used for?
This is at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Long Island, New York. I wonder if you have any idea about its use and maker.

Museum Associated
Hi there,
I am from The Kauri Museum in Northland, New Zealand. We have an engine in our collection that we believe to have been made by the Associated Manufacturers Co. Our engine is operational, and we were wondering if anyone has any information on this model.
Thank you so much for your help.
