Cathedral Carousel Engine Needs Repair

We had a request the other day from Patricia Cate of the All
Hallows Guild at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.,
telephone 202-244-6583. She is seeking assistance in the repair of
a carousel built in 1890 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

It is a county fair type of carousel, powered by a 4 cylinder
hand crank start gasoline engine. The engine uses four sparkplugs
and a magneto distributor. The group seeks to repair rather than
replace the engine. If anyone in the D.C. area is capable of
repairing this engine for the Cathedral, please call Patricia at
the above number, or write 5001 Glenbrook Rd., Washington, DC
20016.
