I have an engine that is identical to the one shown in the February/March 2016 issue of GEM in Flywheel Forum. It was manufactured by Fuller & Johnson for the Coldwell Lawnmower of the mid-1920s. This engine was a single application engine that was manufactured for that mower only. I have a 1925 Coldwell mower with the exact same engine that has been verified by the Fuller & Johnson Registry. I have owned this mower since 1953 and restored it in 1998. John’s engine is missing parts such as the cover for the timing gears and also the Dixie magneto. It could even be missing some of the governor linkage.
