We would like to welcome Branch 66 into the National. They are
located in Texas. John Friesenhahn serves as president. John’s
address is 420 Lori Lynn, Schertz, Texas 78154. This is our second
branch in Texas. Branch 43 is located in Granbury, Texas.
The first Regional Show located in Southwest Region was hosted
by Branch 18 in Merced, California, May 12-14. Even with all the
rain, the show was a great success. Thanks to President Charlie
Parrish and all the members of Branch 18 for their hard work.
The next Regional Show will be June 10-11,1995, and will be
hosted by Branch 33 in Plainfield, Wisconsin. We will have a report
on this show in our next issue.
EDGE & TA has formed a Hall of Fame to honor the great
people who have maintained a strong interest in our Early American
Heritage and the preservation of its history. EDGE & TA will
select five people each year to be honored and inducted into the
NGAS Hall of Fame. Each Inductee will be presented a plaque at the
National Meeting and the inductees’ names will be added to a
permanent Hall of Fame Roster which will be displayed at all
National Meetings. The inductee or a representative of the inductee
will be invited to attend the Nationals to receive their Plaque of
Honor. The inductees will be selected from the nominees sent to the
judges’ panel. The judges’ decision will be final.
Nominations must include the nominee’s name, age and a history
of accomplishments in 1,000 words or less and sent to the
judges’ committee to be evaluated and voted on by the judges.
NOMINATIONS: The nominee could, be someone who:
A. Has dedicated many years of service.
B. Has been a dedicated a life-long collector.
C. Has been a dedicated writer, editor or publisher.
D. Has a quality museum.
E. Does an outstanding job collecting and restoring.
F. Someone who you think really deserves to be
recognized.
If your nomination is not selected the first time, please feel
free to re-submit the next year. Nominations will not be returned.
All judges decisions will be final and will be announced in the
National Newsletter 30 days before the Nationals.
