Late August in eastern Indiana can often be an unpredictable mix of heat and stormy skies.

Fortunately for those lucky enough to attend the 2011 Tri-State Gas Engine & Tractor Assn. Show, the weather cooperated and allowed everyone to focus on catching up with one another over the familiar chug of antique engines.

Illinois-built engines were featured along with Minneapolis-Moline tractors, and there were many fine examples of both. Visit the Image Gallery for just a small sampling of the engines that caught our eye.
