The twelfth annual Southeast Old Time Gas Engine and Tractor
Club Show was held June 24 and 25, 2000 at the Crawford County
Museum grounds on the bypass west of Pittsburg, Kansas.

We were ‘lucky’ again this year to have several of the
hottest days of the year during our show. This cut back on some of
the activities on Saturday, but we still had a good crowd during
the morning and early afternoon.

The club added a well-drilling rig this year and it was on
display. We also had 113 engines, 17 tractors, 16 garden tractors,
a log saw, 16 model engines, a Maytag washer and a race car on
display, plus several antique cars and trucks, including a 1921
Model T truck belonging to Max and Cindy Cleffman. They moved to
Fort Morgan, Colorado, last year from this area, but are still
members of our club and they trailered the truck back here for our
show. We again had exhibitors from the surrounding states and we
appreciate their interest.

We are going to try something different for the 2001 show. It
will be held on Friday and
Saturday, June 22 and 23, instead of Saturday and
Sunday, since a lot of exhibitors come in on Friday and leave
Saturday evening. We hope to have more exhibits for the public to
view this way. Please come and join us for a fun show.
