On July 11-13, Lapel, Indiana, hosted its annual Lapel Village
Fair and its Antique Gas Engine &. Tractor Show. Many different
activities were enjoyed throughout the entire week end.

Numerous exhibits were displayed at the Optimist Club grounds.
Tractors, gas engines, a homemade corn planter, a cotton picker,
and a collection of antique egg beaters were among the many
exhibits. Of course, one of the most popular, and by far the
tastiest, was the delicious ice cream that was made by the old
antique ice cream maker.

At the end of the day a wiener roast was enjoyed around the camp
fire. Good conversation, food, and friends helped to make this show
a success.

Mr. Jack Davidson, chairman, and his wife Carol, have spent a
great amount of time in building this event, and it surely showed.
People truly miss out of a lot of fun, knowledge, and meeting new
friends when they don’t attend this type of show.
